SO FEW ON EARTH by Josie Penny
Good morning
I’m excited about my very first book coming out in early July. You may wonder how I Came up with the title.
My family HUSBAND Keith, 2 Sons : Gregory, Mark; 2 Daughters 
arlene, and Catherine moved to Ontario from Labrador in August of 1977.
In the 30+ years we have been here I have met hundreds of people and when I tell them I’m from Labrador they say. “I’ve never met anyone from Labrador before” My usual reply is a “That’s because there are so few on us on earth.’
Labrador: with a land mass of 112000 square and a population of only 27 to 30 thousand people Its easy see why I chose this title. I’m also very happy to learn that my manuscript Editor Mary Labatt and my publisher Dundurn in Toronto decided to keep it.
We are a people of immense pride in our culture. inhibited by the outside world, we are extremely resourceful and happy. We have our own flag and National Anthem ! And even though the province of Newfound and Labrador does not recognize it officially; once you enter Labrador you will see the patriotic enthusiasm of our people…..
