Had a great night in Port Rowen last night. Warm friendly people were very interested in my story. Putting myself out there and talking to people gets a little easier each time.I want to take this opportunity to give Labrador a voice, a glimpse into the primitive world in which so many of us lived way back then.
Hi Josie: I finished your book yesterday, and hated it to end! There has to be a sequel!!! I gave your book to Carole K. It is her birthday today, and she was thrilled! All 12 books have arrived, so that’s 14 in all… your faithful customer! Love, Sue
Hello Josie, Just a note to say that I really enjoyed reading So Few On Earth. Even though I have never journeyed to "the land God gave to Cain", after reading your memoirs I felt as though I was there. I believe that many people will be able to identify with some of the hardships which you overcame. As an immigrant family, we left Europe in 1951, with virtually the clothes on our backs & struggled to make it in Canada. Isn’t it ironical that often the most challenging times in our lives form the happiest & fondest memories-a sense of ‘paradoxical unity’ if you will. Congratulations Josie, I wish you continued success! Remember the words of your instructor, "Write what you know & let the chips fall." Sincerely, Victor (Keith’s friend @ Different Strokes)
