I just finished reading your book last night. It was a great read, brought back many memories of my own shifting in and out of Independent Harbour as a child, and of how much I miss that beautiful Island today. I know it must have been really hard to write your book, but I’d say that there are many out there that can find solace in the fact that they now have acknowledgement that they didn’t suffer alone; whatever solace that could bring. I’m sure that many of them are proud that you had the courage to bring it all out into the open. Keep up the wonderful work, and may happiness always find your life.

Hi Curtis. Thank you for your kind words. Yes it was very hard to write It took ten years to write and another 5 years to find a publisher. I had given up on finding one and tucked the manuscript away in my desk…then I received a note from a friend that gave me the address for Dundurn in Toronto. They accepted it!!! and the rest is history!…literally…

OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SAID.

“ I don’t want anything for Christmas, not a thing…all I want is Josie’s book!”

“Can you please tell me where I can get a copy of “So Few on Earth” by Josie Penny”
