Josie’s book is very interesting. Just published this year, and newly released in time for the Author’s Book Fair at the LFT, she accomplished a great many sales.

Cassandra Butts…When I asked my uncle, the only person I could ask that would know, he was quick to “say no native blood.” I know some people were raised scared I guess… that’s why it was hidden… My moms side hid her metis roots up until about 2 years ago my nanny mentioned something to me about. I looked into it, and ever since then I’ve been exploring my metis roots. Cant wait to read your book to learn more about what you know of Metis. Thanks for all of your help Josie!
Hello Josie, and Happy New Year. I have given away 17 books, and will be ordering another dozen in the near future. Does that make me your biggest fan?? Everyone LOVES the book, and can’t wait for the next one to come out. All the best to you, my friend. Love you! Sue
Sarah Runstadtler- Auld January 1, 2011 at 6:41pmSubject: Your book. Hi Josie! I am part way into your book and really enjoying it. I got tired of waiting for Coles in Simcoe, and ordered from the Chapters website. It arrived Dec 24th! I did check out your website just now. I can’t believe you had given up….When you read parts of your book to the class I was hooked and just couldn’t wait till it was published so I could read the whole thing!! I am so very glad that Dundern published it!
You are an inspiration to me Josie. Not just for writing, but for living. What you have lived through – it makes what I am going through much smaller and less important. It makes me feel like I can and will get through this cancer, and come out triumphant on the other side. It also makes me feel like I really can be brave enough to send off my butterfly book and bird book to a publisher.
I would LOVE to visit you some time. I need my book signed you know! Happy New Year to you Josie!
