Subject: Book Club in Port Dover

Our Small Book Club in Port Dover is discussing your book at our Monday, March 28 7 p.m. book club meeting. We have 7 – 12 members attend meetings. I am wondering if you are interested in attending. We meet at a member’s house and talk about the book for about 1 1/2. Members will already have read your book when they attend. I enjoyed your book very much. Donna McMillan

Re: Book Club in Port Dover

Hi Josie – I am currently on Amelia Island in Florida. I have your number at home, but not here. Can you give it to me and I will call you.  We don’t get home until about March 14 or 15. Do you charge a speakers’ fee? I met you at the Book Festival in Port Dover and bought one of your books then. I then ordered two through Chapters and sent to my mother – in – law, a Newfoundlander, and my sister out west. I enjoyed the book very much and then picked it for Book Club. Donna McMillan

I’m emailing to give you the details about your visit to The Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise. Everyone is sooooo looking forward to hearing you speak. We have had to change our venue since I spoke to you at the ArtsCo event at the Lighthouse Theatre as the Library decided not to go forward with their event that day. Thus, we will be at our usual meeting location, Norfolk Golf & Country Club.

Information is as follows:

  • Location: Norfolk Golf & Country Club, Simcoe, ON (map and directions attached)
  • Date: March 22, 2011
  • Time: 7-7:30 am – full buffet breakfast included
  • Presentation (about 8 minutes): We’d like to hear how you got started in writing, a bit about your books (particularly "So Few on Earth" – I loved the book!),
  • Hand-outs: You’re welcome to bring anything you’d like – there’s not much room for a display, as such, but please feel free to bring a copy of your  books to pass around.

There will be 3 authors, including you, and you’ll each have 8 minutes to speak, followed by a question/answer period. Please feel free to bring a guest with you to join us for breakfast and presentations.

If you have any questions, or concerns, my contact information is below my signature and you are welcome to contact me at any time.

Looking forward to having you, Josie.
